    Form-oil paint
Function- Painted for the wife of Henry the IV
Content- Jupiter and Juno look down at the pair in approval.
    Context- Currently in the Louvre,Paris
Change-Most women of the time were depicted as modest, this shows them being curvy.
Interpretation- The Gods are flanked by their symbols: Zeus/Jupiter, an eagle, and Hera/Juno, a peacock.
Artistic intent- Meant to show the figure of Henri IV as powerful, ex. Gods looking at him in approval.
Audience response: This painting met criticism, one reason being his curvy ladies and the second one being his representation of a real person amongst gods.
