    Form: wood
Function: To show the wealth and piety of the patron
    Content: two angels with Mary
Context: painted by Fra Filippo Lippi
    Change: the painting is naturalistic
Interpretation: pearls used as symbols in scenes of the Immaculate Conception of Mary and the incarnation of
    Christ
Artistic Intent: the model may have been the artist's lover
Audience Response: There was lots of money in Florence at the time which allowed people more indulgences in the arts and paintings such as this one.
