    Form-oil
Function- Commissioned for a dining hall.
Content- Christ is seen as the central figure at the table.
    Context-located in Milan,Italy
Tradition-The figures around Christ are pushed together, showing horror vacuoi
Interpretation-This may be the scene were Christ tells his followers that one of them may betray him.
Artistic intent- The figures around Christ are jumbled and chaotic which makes Christ seem holy without the use of a halo.
Audience response- Many scholars debate as to what moment this actually is.

    Form: tempera
Function: relationship between the friars eating and a Biblical meal
Content: various reactions on the face of the apostles
    Context:the patron was Ludovico Sforza
Change: the only one of Leonardo Da vinci's work that remains in situ
Interpretation: Rounded pediment acts as a symbolic halo
Artistic Intent:to experiment with different combinations of paint to yield a greater chiasrusco
Audience Response: the paints peeled many times so the painting has been restored multiple times
