    Content- Venus is seen standing on a seashell.
    Context- Located in florence, Italy
    Tradition-Classical contrapostto can be seen in the way Venus is standing.
    Interpretation-Venus covering her self is meant to show modesty.
    artistic intent-There are many different patterns, which is meant to create a flat 2D feel.
    Audience response- Very little is actually known about this painting.

    Context: painting based on a popular court poem by the writer Poliziano
    Tradition: a revival of interest in Greek and Roman themes can be seen in this work
    Interpretation: roses scattered before her; roses created at the same time as Venus, symbolizing that love can be painful
    Artistic Intent: to create an image of the birth of Venus in a mythological circumstance
    Audience Response: The female nude was revived during the Renaissance
