    Form-It is pyramidal in form.
    Function-Is a place of pilgrimage.
    Content- It contains 504 life sized Buddha statues.
    Context- This sculpture was put on top of a hill in order to maximize is visual impact.
    Tradition-The relief carvings follow the Roman use of horror vacui.
    Interpretation- It is meant to be the material embodiment of the spiritual journey of religious pilgrimage.
    Artistic intent- Is meant to be walked around.
    Audience response- Souvenir hunters have taken many of the Buddha sculptures and shipped them to mansions or museums.

    Tradition: Using structures as a means of connecting heaven and earth
    Interpretation: The large central stupa is a symbol of the enlightened mind
    Artistic Intent:it was created for Buddhist monks to achieve the status of Bodhisattva
    Audience Response:Believe that the temple harnesses spiritual energy
