    Function: served as a grave marker
    Content:Archaic smile which was meant to enliven the sculptures
    Context:was found in the Anavysos Cemetery
    Artistic Intent: The sculpture was created to honor the dead son of an aristocratic family who died in battle.
    Tradition/Change: The sculpture followed the Egyptian stance with the one leg forward but moves away from the Egyptian tradition as the sculpture is nude and freestanding

    Form-It is a life size statue
    Function- Was used to memorialize a family's son who died in battle.
    Content-The figures face is masklike,
    Context- Named after a young military hero Krosios.
    Artistic intent- Originally this statue was created to represent the ideal youth.
    Interpretation- The family who purchased this statue interpreted this as their son who was killed in battle.

    Function- representation of young military hero Kroisos.
    Content- mask like face.
    Context- the greeks glorified the human body, so the sculpture is nude.
    Artistic intent- Idealized form of a young aristocrat
    Tradition/Change- The archaic style would soon transition into a more natural style.
