    Form- Made of Marble
Function-Was made to be part of a Frieze from the parthenon.
Content- Depicts the panathenaic procession, an event held every four years to honor Athena.
    Context- Found in Athens, Greece
Change- It was the first time in Greek art showing a human event on a temple.
Interpretation- It could be seen as the panathenaic procession, however some also believe it represents the story of an Athenian king, Erechtheus.

  2. Form:The higher up the relief placement, the more three dimensional the relief is carved
Function: To tell a story that is important to the Parthenon and the goddess Athena
Content: Six Ergastines are greeted by two priests
Context: The Panathenaic Procession began at the Dipylon Gate, passed through the agora and ended at the Parthenon.
Tradition/Change: Used isocephalism, the tradition of depicting heads of figures on the same level
Artistic Intent: To impress the glory of Athens upon those who see it.
