Form-It is extremely crowded with figures there is no empty space.
Function-To show the battle between the Romans and the Goths.
Content- The people the Romans are fighting all have beards seem barbaric compared to the Roman figures.
Context- Romans battled the Goths in the late imperial century.
Artistic intent- The Romans were fond of Horror Vacui, or fear of empty spaces. The artist showed this by laying several figures on top of one another, with no empty space.
Tradition- Similar to hellenistic Greek, were figures were displayed as dynamic, "action packed", and had a great deal of movement.

    Form: high relief
    Function: Grave marker
Content:The figures lack individuality, but the difference between Romans and Goths were clear
Context:Created at a time in history marked by instability and civil wars.
Change: Less focus on the beauty of the human body and more on the interactions between people
Artistic Intent: Create a sarcophagus for a rich person
