  1. Form: Agora site plan
    Function: Was the setting for the Panathenaic festival, there were ceremonies and parades in honor of Athena.
    Content:Had a tholos which served as a dining hall where the executives of the boule often met.
    Context:Originally located in Athens, Greece
    Artistic Intent: The purpose for the building of the agora was to create an open place for assembly and was a designated area where free-born citizens could gather.
    Audience Response: The people of Athens came to trade and sell goods.

    Form-Was made of marble
    Function- was used as a place of meeting for the important senators and other executives
    Content- There were several Stoas, covered walkways with a wall on one side and columns on another.
    Context- The Persians destroyed and raided the Agora in 480 B.C.E
    Tradition/Change- The Agora, at first was just an open air space for meetings as well as announcements, but as time went on more buildings came up and it become a place to buy and sell goods.
    Audience response- The Agora attracted many Greek philosophers such as Socrates and Plato

    Content- Administrative buildings and small sanctuaries were built
    Context- Athens was prominent throughout much of antiquity.
    Tradition/Change- Following the destruction of Athens by the persians, the city was rebuilt.
    Audience response- The agora was frequented by many statesmen.
